Side Hustle Wrap (DK)

Designed in collaboration with Lauren from agirlandherwool, this squishy DK weight wrap uses 3 colors of yarn. 2 colors are used to create alternating stripes of garter and stockinette stitch. Color 3 features garter stitch short row sections wedged into the mix as an accent color—the SIDE HUSTLE counterpoint to the regular stripes, if you will. Use temporary closures to change the style into a poncho.

agirlandherwool DK, 75% Superwash Merino, 25% Nylon, 245 yd / 224 m per 100 g, or similar DK weight yarn in 3 colors. www.agirlandherwool.com

C1: Dark – 478 yd / 437 m (195 g)
C2: Neutral – 319 yd / 291 m (130 g)
C3: Bright – 294 yd / 269 m (120 g)
Yarn estimate includes 10% buffer

Borders and garter stitch stripes use C1.
Stockinette background of stripes uses C2.
All short row sections (aka the SIDE HUSTLES) use C3.

GAUGE & NEEDLES
17 stitches & 34 rows = 4” / 10 cm in garter stitch, blocked
Gauge is not critical but will impact finished size and yarn requirements.
US 8 (5.5 mm) circular needle, min. length 24” / 60 cm or size needed to get gauge.
I suggest using C3 for a swatch because this color has the smallest requirement in the final piece.
